ABOUT US

ANAN Shomolu Lagos was founded on 4th June 1997 at the Sheraton Hotel Lagos same day which other branches of ANAN Ikeja and Mainland were also formed.

The First Chairman of Shomolu Branch was Honourable Oni for Shomolu, while the Second Chairman is Mr. Kunle Binutu, while the 3rds Branch Chairman is Deacon Oyebanji and the 4th Chairman and by extension the 1st Zonal Chairman of South West of the Branch is Alh. Tajudeen A. Ishola Lemonu – (FCNA).

The total membership of the Association (Shomolu Branch Lagos) as at November 2020 is Sixty-Four (64).

GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS OF THE BRANCH

I seize this opportunity to thank the management of Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, for accommodating us in their premises for our monthly meeting and provision of the Hall through the Director of Finance, Mrs. Bimbo Yusuf without any financial commitment.

Our main objectives and our short and long term plans are as follows:

  1. To have the Branch Secretariat within Shomolu axis.
  2. To create awareness in both secondary and higher institutions in Lagos State.
  3. To create effective awareness through both print and electronic media.
  4. To organize regular lectures to train and develop our members on current trends in accounting profession.
  5. To assist the needy members.

QUIZ COMPETITION

We organize quiz competitions among higher institutions.

We are very encouraged with the outcomes of the competitions that we have decided to be organizing it twice in a year.

What We Do

Training
The Association operates a collegiate system of training through teaching and examination. This is achieved through its training arm, Nigerian College of Accountancy
License Issuance
The Association is empowered to issue Practicing License to its members who have satisfied the requirements for Practice as public Accountants and Auditors.
Qualification
Members of the Association holding valid Practicing License are qualified for appointments as Auditors of companies in accordance with Companies and Allied Matters Act.
Professional Practice
The Association conducts a mandatory Professional Practice Forum (MPPF) twice a year where Practitioners are exposed to current issues and developments in the profession .
